Position Overview: ICT Teacher

The ICT Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective ICT instruction at the Primary Level, aligned with the Cambridge Curriculum. The successful candidate will help learners develop essential computer skills, digital awareness, and problem-solving abilities, preparing them for future academic success.

This role requires creativity, professionalism, and a strong commitment to learner development.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The ICT Teacher will be expected to:

  • Deliver high-quality ICT lessons in accordance with the Cambridge Primary Curriculum
  • Prepare comprehensive lesson plans, schemes of work, and instructional materials
  • Assess learners’ progress using appropriate evaluation tools and provide constructive feedback
  • Integrate ICT tools and digital resources across other subject areas
  • Promote safe and responsible use of technology among learners
  • Maintain accurate academic records and learner reports
  • Provide pastoral care and support students’ social and emotional development
  • Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and fellow staff members
  • Participate in school meetings, trainings, extracurricular activities, and professional development programs

Qualifications and Experience Required

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in ICT, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • A recognized teaching qualification such as PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent
  • A minimum of two (2) years of teaching experience
  • Prior experience teaching the Cambridge Curriculum will be a strong advantage
  • Excellent classroom management and learner engagement skills
  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork abilities
  • Passion for teaching and commitment to girls’ education
