RwandAir is currently hiring two (2) TRAX Specialists to support the airline’s growing engineering, technical, and maintenance operations. These positions are full-time roles based in Kigali, Rwanda, and are designed for professionals who want to contribute to a modern, digitized, and safety-driven airline.

Job Title: TRAX Specialists (2 Positions)

These two positions aim to enhance digital maintenance, streamline workflows, and support operational safety within RwandAir’s engineering and maintenance division.

Job Purpose

The TRAX Specialists will provide expert-level support in configuring, cleaning, updating, integrating, and optimizing the TRAX eMRO system. This system is the backbone of airline maintenance, engineering documentation, fleet data management, and compliance reporting.

You will work closely with:

• TRAX MIAMI teams
• RwandAir’s IT department
• CAMO (Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization)
• Part 145 maintenance operations
• Supply Chain / Logistics
• Finance and HR

This is a strategic role essential to ensuring that TRAX supports digital transformation, operational efficiency, and safety compliance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. TRAX System Setup & Data Management

• Lead the planning and execution of the TRAX eMRO setup with clear project milestones.
• Perform large-scale data clean-up and ensure accuracy of all fleet and aircraft data.
• Validate system configuration, workflow settings, and reporting features.
• Upload, review, and update aircraft records, maintenance histories, and component details.

2. System Integration & Optimization

• Coordinate with TRAX MIAMI and RwandAir IT teams to integrate TRAX with HR, Finance, and other systems.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and maintain system stability.
• Develop and test new TRAX modules, dashboards, and add-ons for daily operations.

3. Support for CAMO, Part 145 & Supply Chain

• Configure CAMO modules for effective airworthiness control.
• Set up Part 145 modules for line and base maintenance operations.
• Enhance Supply Chain workflows, inventory tracking, and parts management through TRAX.

4. TRAX eMobility & Paperless Operations

• Activate TRAX eMobility Suite to support real-time digital maintenance.
• Train teams to reduce paperwork and transition to mobile-enabled inspections.
• Ensure seamless communication between mobile and desktop systems.

5. Documentation & Training

• Develop detailed procedures, manuals, and user guides for TRAX operations.
• Train local staff and ensure knowledge transfer for long-term sustainability.
• Provide daily support to TRAX users across multiple departments.

Leadership & Management Responsibilities

• Supervise staff involved in TRAX operations and support their continuous improvement.
• Mentor junior technicians and transfer practical TRAX knowledge.
• Assist during emergencies, operational disruptions, or major system updates.

Operational Safety Responsibilities

• Ensure all TRAX operations comply with aviation safety standards, environmental policies, and quality requirements.
• Identify and report hazards, incidents, and system-related near misses.
• Support a culture of safety, efficiency, and accountability across departments.

Environmental Responsibilities

• Contribute to RwandAir’s ongoing sustainability initiatives.
• Implement eco-friendly practices through optimized digital maintenance.
• Reduce paper usage, improve workflow efficiency, and support resource conservation.

 

Required Qualifications

Education

Applicants must hold ONE of the following:

• Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance, IT, or Technical Trades
• Vocational qualification in aircraft maintenance
• Bachelor’s degree (BSc or B.Eng.) in Aircraft Engineering or a related field

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience working in a TRAX environment
• Strong familiarity with TRAX settings, configurations, modules, and eMobility Suite
• Experience in aviation maintenance, engineering systems, or digital workflow support

Key Skills

• Leadership, mentoring, and coaching abilities
• Ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 aviation environment
• Strong documentation, reporting, and analytical skills
• Excellent computer literacy and systems management
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
