Innovate4DigiJOBS is a forward-thinking digital transformation initiative
designed to support institutions in Rwanda to implement high-impact,
value-driven, and innovative digital projects. The program
strengthens digital employment pathways, skills development, and institutional
innovation capacity.
As the initiative enters a major implementation phase, there is a need for strong
coordination, efficient documentation, quality reporting, and hands-on
monitoring. This is where the Junior Project Assistant becomes
an essential asset.
Detailed Responsibilities
A. Project
Implementation Support
As a key support member, you will:
· Assist
in daily project coordination and execution
· Track
project deliverables, milestones, and timelines
· Maintain
contact with participating institutions for progress monitoring
· Support
check-ins, field visits, supervision trips, and review meetings
· Ensure
all activities align with project standards and implementation guidelines
B. Documentation
& Financial Reporting
You will safeguard the quality of all project documentation by:
· Tracking
and verifying supporting documents,
cashbooks, expenditure sheets, and receipts
· Ensuring
beneficiary institutions meet financial compliance
standards
· Organizing
all reports for internal and donor-level reviews
· Supporting
the preparation of progress updates, summaries, and briefing
notes
C. Monitoring
& Evaluation (M&E) Support
· Assist
in collecting data for dashboards, field reports, performance
indicators
· Participate
in on-the-ground monitoring to capture outcomes and
evidence
· Document
field observations, challenges, improvements, and insights
· Contribute
to learning reports and M&E documentation
D. Communication
& Stakeholder Engagement
In this role, you also support communication by:
· Preparing
communication briefs, success stories, and updates
· Supporting
institutional tagging and communication protocol alignment
· Following
up on updates from partners for storytelling and content
· Ensuring
communication materials align with project branding
Essential Skills & Core Competencies
The ideal candidate should have:
· Strong
verbal & written communication
· Good
understanding of financial documentation
· Familiarity
with M&E tools, data collection, evaluations
· Analytical
mindset & attention to detail
· Ability
to work independently and collaboratively
· Added
advantage: Accounting or finance knowledge
· Experience
with NGOs, ESOs, TVET programs, or donor-funded
initiatives
Academic & Professional Requirements
· Diploma
or Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business
Administration, Accounting, Finance, ICT, Development Studies,
or related fields
· 1–2
years of experience in project support, admin, or M&E
· Prior
experience with institutional or donor-funded projects
is an added bonus
