Internship Overview

The Cylacon Software Development Internship is a hands-on, project-based, fully remote program supervised by senior engineers. Interns will actively contribute to real applications while learning best practices in frontend, backend, security, and mobile development.

This internship is ideal for individuals who want to:

What You Will Learn

During the internship, you will:

Develop production-ready web applications
Strengthen backend development using Node.js and PostgreSQL
Build modern frontend interfaces using React.js and Next.js
Learn and apply web security best practices
Participate in code reviews and weekly technical training
Gain exposure to mobile app development (Flutter / React Native)
Work in a collaborative, professional engineering environment

Key Responsibilities

Develop responsive and scalable frontend interfaces using React.js and Next.js
Assist in building and maintaining backend APIs using Node.js and PostgreSQL
Collaborate with the engineering team on real client and internal projects
Participate in weekly training sessions, stand-ups, and code reviews
Implement basic security measures in real-world applications
Test, debug, and optimize applications for performance and reliability
Research, analyze, and propose technical solutions
Document development tasks, features, and progress

Internship Requirements

Applicants must have:

Basic understanding of JavaScript and TypeScript
Familiarity with React components
Working knowledge of React.js and Next.js basics
Basic knowledge of Node.js
Understanding of PostgreSQL fundamentals
Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions
Strong passion for software development
Reliable internet connection
Ability to work remotely and meet deadlines

Qualifications

Currently a student or recent graduate in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
GitHub or portfolio projects are highly preferred
Basic understanding of UI/UX principles is an added advantage
Knowledge of REST APIs is a plus
