qualified professionals to apply for the position of HR Business
Intelligence Analyst.

Reports to: Senior Manager, HR Systems & Services

The HR Business Intelligence Analyst
will lead the analytics capability within the HR function—turning raw workforce
data into actionable insights. This role supports high-level decision-making,
enhances employee experience, improves HR processes through automation, and
ensures RwandAir remains at the forefront of people analytics innovation.
Key Responsibilities

Operational Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
Data
Analytics & Reporting
- Develop interactive HR dashboards and analytics reports
using Power BI or Tableau.
- Build robust data models, reporting frameworks, and
self-service analytics tools for HR teams.
- Conduct advanced data analysis to identify workforce
trends, correlations, and insights.
- Present complex data to leadership in a clear,
business-oriented format.
Predictive
Modelling & Workforce Planning
- Develop models for:
- Employee turnover prediction
- Attrition risk analysis
- Succession planning readiness
- Talent pipeline analytics
- Recruitment forecasting
- Performance prediction
- Use statistical analysis and machine learning
techniques to support evidence-based decisions.
Automation
& Workflow Optimization
- Collaborate with the IT team to automate HR processes
within ERP systems (e.g., onboarding, leave management, employee lifecycle
events).
- Create RPA scripts and workflow automation to improve
HR operational efficiency.
- Ensure seamless data integration between HR platforms.
- Monitor automation performance and enhance workflows.
Data
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and privacy across all
HR systems.
- Implement automated quality checks, validation rules,
and exception reporting.
- Generate compliance reports according to labor laws and
internal standards.
Leadership
& Capability Building
- Act as the subject matter expert in HR analytics.
- Train and mentor HR team members on analytics tools and
data literacy.
- Drive adoption of data-driven decision-making across HR
and business units.
- Lead cross-functional analytics and automation
projects.
Strategic
Contribution
- Provide actionable insights to HR leaders and
executives to support:
- Organizational design
- Talent strategy
- Performance management
- Employee experience improvement
- Measure the impact of analytics initiatives and
continuously optimize solutions.
- Stay informed on global trends in HR analytics, AI,
automation, and data science.
2. Personal Development Responsibilities
- Take initiative for continuous learning and
professional development.
- Stay updated on market innovations, HR tech, data
science, and analytics best practices.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Essential
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics,
Economics, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in HR
analytics, business intelligence, or data analysis.
- Proven experience building dashboards using Power BI
or Tableau.
- Practical experience with RPA tools, workflow
automation, or scripting automation.
- Solid understanding of HR processes, KPIs, and employee
lifecycle metrics.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation,
and advanced queries.
- Demonstrated success in delivering impactful automation
or analytics solutions.
Preferred
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science,
Information Systems, or similar.
- Professional certifications such as:
- Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate
- Tableau Data Analyst Certification
- Experience with predictive modelling and machine
learning.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft
Dynamics 365).
Required Skills & Competencies
Essential
Skills
- Top-level expertise in Power BI or Tableau.
- Strong programming skills in Python, R,
or similar.
- SQL expertise for advanced data manipulation.
- Strong statistical and predictive modelling knowledge.
- Experience with Power Automate or similar
workflow automation tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and
critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to translate technical findings into simple,
actionable insights.
- Strong project management skills; able to manage
multiple priorities.
- Understanding of data privacy regulations and HR data
governance.
- Change management skills, especially in technology
adoption.
Preferred
Skills
- Knowledge of APIs and system integrations.
- Experience applying agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with Natural Language Processing (NLP) for
HR text analytics.
