Key Duties & Responsibilities

As an RMS Driver, your responsibilities include:

1. Operating Official Vehicles

• Safely drive RMS vehicles to transport staff, medical supplies, and visitors
• Follow traffic regulations and internal vehicle management rules
• Ensure professional conduct at all times while on duty

2. Vehicle Maintenance & Care

• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure roadworthiness
• Conduct routine mechanical checks
• Report any malfunction or safety risk immediately
• Ensure all vehicle documents (insurance, inspection, license) are valid

3. Managing Transport Documentation

• Keep an accurate logbook
• Record mileage, fuel usage, and maintenance activities
• Provide reports upon request

4. Supporting Logistics & Operations

• Assist with medical supply loading and offloading
• Support general logistics activities when needed
• Work flexible hours (evenings, weekends) when required

5. Safety & Professional Conduct

• Follow all accident reporting procedures

Required Qualifications & Skills

To be considered for this role, the ideal candidate must have:

Mandatory Requirements

• Valid driving license Category B, C, and D
• Completed at least 3 years of secondary school (S3)
• Minimum 5 years of professional driving experience

• Knowledge of Rwanda’s driving laws
• Ability to maintain accurate transport records

• High integrity and sense of responsibility
• Ability to work under pressure and handle confidential material
