As part of its continued growth, the company seeks a dedicated Accountant
Secretary to strengthen its Finance and Administration team.
Position: Accountant Secretary
Reports to: Operations Manager
Role Purpose
The Accountant Secretary plays a key role in supporting daily financial and
administrative operations. This position involves accurate entry of financial
data, reconciliation of accounts, tax support, effective documentation, and
smooth coordination of office activities.

Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting Responsibilities
· Maintain
accurate and organized financial records.
· Prepare
and file daily financial documents (invoices, receipts, payments).
· Manage
accounts payable and accounts receivable efficiently.
· Conduct
bank reconciliations and follow up on pending balances.
· Assist
in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
· Support
tax computations and declarations in line with RRA
regulations.
· Prepare
routine financial summaries and statistical reports.
· Analyze
financial data and resolve discrepancies.
· Manage
petty cash and prepare detailed expense breakdowns.
· Ensure
proper storage and confidentiality of all accounting documentation.
· Assist
with any financial tasks assigned by the Managing Director.
2. Administrative & Secretarial Responsibilities
· Provide
front-office support: welcome visitors, respond to emails, answer phone calls.
· Maintain
organized company records (physical & digital).
· Draft
and format professional letters, internal memos, and reports.
· Schedule
appointments, meetings, and support company activity planning.
· Take
meeting minutes and track completion of action points.
· Coordinate
communication between suppliers, clients, and internal teams.
· Support
procurement tasks by preparing purchase orders.
· Maintain
and update office supply inventories and related documentation.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Educational Background &
Certifications
· Bachelor’s
Degree in Accounting or a related field.
· CPA/ACCA
Part II or Intermediate level is an added advantage.
Technical Skills
· Strong
understanding of accounting principles.
· Excellent
knowledge of RRA tax regulations.
· High-level
proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced skills required).
· Knowledge
of auditing and compliance procedures.
Personal Skills
· Exceptional
accuracy and attention to detail.
· Strong
organizational and multitasking abilities.
· Ability
to work independently (result-driven).
· Professional
etiquette, ethics, and integrity.
· Excellent
communication in English and Kinyarwanda.
