healthcare, poverty reduction, and humanitarian relief. Founded in Kuwait
in 1981, the organization now operates in more than 30 African
countries and has been actively serving the people of Rwanda since 1990.
Every book delivered to a school,
every medical supply provided to a clinic, and every community project launched
begins with strong procurement. As a Purchaser / Procurement Officer,
your work will directly enable programs that change lives.
What
You’ll Be Responsible For
In this role, you will be trusted
with ensuring that Direct Aid’s resources are procured efficiently,
ethically, and transparently. You will work closely with internal teams and
external suppliers to make sure operations run smoothly.
Your day-to-day responsibilities
will include:
- Identifying and selecting reliable suppliers and
service providers
- Preparing and issuing purchase orders in line with
approved budgets
- Negotiating prices and supplier terms to achieve value
for money
- Tracking deliveries to ensure goods and services arrive
on time and meet quality standards
- Monitoring procurement costs and identifying savings
opportunities
- Maintaining accurate procurement and inventory records
- Ensuring all procurement activities comply with Direct
Aid policies and donor regulations
- Supporting audits and internal reviews with clear
documentation

values precision, integrity, and accountability.
Who
Direct Aid Is Looking For
Direct Aid is seeking a professional
who combines technical competence with strong ethical standards.
You are encouraged to apply if you
have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Business
Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- At least 3 years of proven experience in
procurement or purchasing
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and reporting skills
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work with
diverse stakeholders
- A high level of professionalism, discretion, and
integrity
- Experience working with NGOs or humanitarian
organizations (an added advantage)
