Primary Duties & Responsibilities
As an Accountant at RMS Ltd, you
will play a key role in the financial control, reporting, and management of the
organization’s resources. Your responsibilities will include:
Financial
Documentation & Processing
- Prepare and organize financial files before submitting
them to RMS leadership
- Process and prepare payment documents: undertakings,
salary payments, withdrawals, and other financial transactions
Accounting
& Bookkeeping Excellence
- Record financial transactions accurately and maintain
updated books of accounts
- Ensure all financial entries comply with internal audit
standards and national regulatory frameworks
Financial
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare cash flow statements for each funding
source
- Develop and submit Annual Financial Statements
- Produce and deliver periodic financial performance
reports to the supervisor
- Support budgeting, forecasting, planning, and control
processes
Payroll
& Compliance
- Prepare salary payments and ensure statutory deductions
are managed correctly
- Ensure compliance with RMS internal policies,
government regulations, donor conditions, and financial best practices
Qualifications & Professional Requirements
To excel in this role, you must meet
these mandatory qualifications:
Academic
Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance,
or Business Administration
Professional
Certification Advantage
Candidates registered in recognized
professional accounting programs hold a major advantage, especially those who
have completed parts of:
- ACCA
- CPA
- CIMA
Required
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as
an accountant
- Proven expertise in financial reporting, auditing, and
advanced bookkeeping
Skills
Needed
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills
- Advanced skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Strong teamwork and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask
effectively
