Role Overview: Senior Consultant – Accounting &
Tax Advisory
As a Senior Consultant, you
will hold a critical position in the company. Your responsibilities focus on
delivering top-tier technical services, nurturing client
relationships, and contributing to internal knowledge growth.
This role is ideal for someone who
is driven, detail-oriented, and passionate about accounting and tax excellence.
Key Responsibilities
You will play a central role in
ensuring service quality, compliance, and client satisfaction. Your duties will
include:
1.
Deliver High-Quality Accounting & Tax Services
- Prepare financial statements
- Conduct tax compliance reviews
- Provide technical tax interpretations
- Execute complex accounting clean-ups
2.
Ensure Compliance With Rwanda & International Tax Laws
Stay updated on changes in tax
regulations and advise clients accordingly.
3.
Build Long-Term Client Relationships
- Engage with clients regularly
- Understand their evolving needs
- Provide reliable, timely guidance
4.
Lead Advisory Engagements
Manage projects end-to-end, ensuring
accuracy, efficiency, and excellent client experience.
5.
Conduct Research & Develop Internal Knowledge Assets
- Memos
- Best practices
- Training programs
- Technical guides
6.
Improve Service Delivery Across the Organization
Support continuous improvement in
processes, tools, ERP use, and team capabilities.
7.
Support Tax Dispute Resolution
Assist clients with RRA
communications, audits, objections, and appeal processes.
8.
Mentor Junior Team Members
Lead by example and build capability
across the team.
About You — Who Can Apply?
To qualify for this position, you
must meet the following minimum requirements:
Professional
Qualification
Must be fully certified in one of
the following:
- CPA
- ACCA
- ACA
- CIMA
Experience
Minimum 3 years of professional
experience in:
- Accounting
- Tax
- Audit
- Advisory
You should be capable of managing client engagements independently.
Language Skills
- Strong English communication skills
- French is an added advantage
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of major ERP
systems such as:
- Odoo
- SAP
- NetSuite
This is essential for delivering
efficient, technology-driven professional services.
