Job Responsibilities

As a Roads and Utilities Inspector, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of infrastructure across Kigali. Your responsibilities will include:

Infrastructure Inspection & Compliance

  • Inspect all district roads, bridges, drainages, sewage systems, and utilities under construction, rehabilitation, redevelopment, or maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with Kigali’s Master Plan, zoning guidelines, national laws, and all technical standards related to road and utilities development.

Field Monitoring & Reporting

  • Conduct joint field visits alongside relevant staff to verify the status and quality of infrastructure projects.
  • Assist in preparing progress and completion reports for roads and utilities under construction.
  • Compile and submit regular inspection reports and provide professional recommendations to the supervisor.

Operational Support

  • Produce periodic progress updates on inspected projects.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Director of the Inspection Unit.

Minimum Qualifications

This role is open to fresh graduates (0 years of experience required). Eligible qualifications include:

Bachelor’s / Advanced Diploma in:

  • Civil Engineering
  • Land Surveying
  • Construction Technology
  • Quantity Surveying
  • Roads Construction Engineering

Both Bachelor’s degrees and Advanced Diplomas are accepted.
