Position Overview – Driver at King Faisal Hospital Kigali

The Driver will play a vital role in supporting hospital operations by providing safe, efficient, and timely transportation for patients, staff, and essential medical supplies.
You will ensure all hospital vehicles are in good condition, maintain accurate records, and uphold the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

Required Qualifications and Experience

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

· Education: Advanced Certificate (A2) or higher.

· Driving License: Valid Category B and D driving licenses.

· Experience: At least 2 years of proven driving experience. Previous work experience in

· hospital or healthcare setting is a strong advantage.

· Excellent vehicle operation and maintenance skills.

· Strong understanding of safety procedures and emergency response protocols.

· Ability to organize, plan, and manage time effectively.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

As a Driver at King Faisal Hospital, you will be responsible for:

1. Maintaining trip records and databases for all vehicle movements.

2. Recording speedometer readings and ensuring monthly reports are accurate.

3. Conducting daily vehicle inspections—checking fuel, oil, water, lights, mirrors, tires, and safety belts.

4. Ensuring all hospital vehicles have valid insurance and licenses.

5. Keeping documentation of driving license renewals and additional training certificates.

6. Reporting any mechanical problems or accidents immediately to the Fleet Manager.

7. Maintaining professional behavior with patients and staff at all times.

8. Submitting monthly utilization reports and action plans.

9. Ensuring hands-free communication while driving.

10. Coordinating with the Ambulance Call Centre to manage patient transport efficiently.
