Position: Cashier – Accountant
Location: Kigali, Rwanda
Employment Type: Full-Time, On-Site
Experience Required: 2–4 years
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting,
Finance, or related field

Job Purpose
The Cashier – Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring the company’s
financial operations run efficiently, accurately, and transparently. You will
manage daily cash activities, financial documentation, reconciliations, and
internal coordination — all while supporting management with essential
financial insights.
Your work directly contributes to CEVR’s financial stability, operational
efficiency, and long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Cash & Payment
Management
· Manage
all daily cash transactions with accuracy and accountability
· Handle
petty cash, receipts, invoices, and bank deposits
· Process
incoming and outgoing payments
· Enforce
proper cash control systems and adherence to company policies
2. Accounting &
Financial Reporting
· Maintain
updated ledgers, journals, and financial records
· Assist
with monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements
· Prepare
reconciliations for banks, payable accounts, and receivables
· Support
external and internal audits with organized documentation
· Track
outstanding payments and follow up on discrepancies
3. Coordination & Policy
Compliance
· Liaise
with sales, procurement, and operations teams for billing and collections
· Ensure
financial documents meet compliance standards
· Maintain
well-structured, audit-ready record systems
· Follow
accounting principles and statutory regulations
4. Professional Brand
Representation
· Maintain
a high level of professionalism when interacting with clients, partners, and
colleagues
· Serve
as the trustworthy financial contact point within the company
· Demonstrate
integrity, confidentiality, and strong ethical standards
Essential Requirements
To excel in this role, candidates must have:
· Bachelor’s
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
· 2–4
years of proven work experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or cash handling
· Strong
numeracy and analytical skills
· Experience
using Odoo, QuickBooks,
or other accounting software
· Advanced
knowledge of Microsoft Excel
· Excellent
written and spoken communication in English
and Kinyarwanda (French is an added advantage)
· High
integrity, attention to detail, and professional discipline
