Job Title: Plumbing Technician
As a Plumbing Technician, you
will play an important role in installing,
maintaining, and repairing piping systems that are vital to the
plant’s operations. Your work will ensure the efficient flow of water, slurry,
and gravel throughout the mining process.
This is a hands-on technical position
that requires both mechanical expertise and a strong understanding of fluid
systems.
Key Responsibilities
If you are selected for this position, you will be expected to:
· Install
and maintain industrial piping systems
for water, slurry, and gravel.
· Inspect
and test pipelines, pumps, valves, and connections
for safety and performance.
· Perform
routine maintenance and emergency repairs to
minimize equipment downtime.
· Collaborate
with other technical teams to ensure seamless plant operations.
· Maintain
accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and
system modifications.
· Comply
with all safety and environmental regulations
set by the company and local authorities.
· Execute
any additional duties as assigned by management.
Job Qualifications and Experience
To qualify for the Plumbing Technician
position, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Education Requirements
· Certificate
or Technical Diploma in Plumbing or Mechanical Systems
from a recognized institution.
· Additional
training or certification in Plant Operations is
an added advantage.
Experience
· Minimum
of two (2) years of professional experience in
plumbing or maintenance.
· Experience
working in industrial or mining environments
is highly preferred.
Skills and Competencies
· Strong
understanding of fluid mechanics, pump
systems, and corrosion control.
· Excellent
problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
· Commitment
to safety, teamwork, and quality work.
· Physically
fit and able to handle field work, including overtime when needed.
· Strong
communication skills in English; proficiency in Kinyarwanda
is an asset.
Working Conditions
· Work
Hours: 8 hours per day
· Employment
