About
the Role
The Monitoring and Evaluation
Specialist will play a key role in ensuring that district projects are
effectively implemented, monitored, and evaluated for maximum impact.
The position reports directly to the Agriculture Officer and focuses on
ensuring that all development programs achieve measurable results aligned with
Nyanza District’s strategic objectives.
Main
Responsibilities
The M&E Specialist will be
responsible for developing and implementing robust monitoring and evaluation
systems for district projects. Key tasks include:
- Develop and update M&E plans to track project performance and ensure timely
results.
- Monitor project progress using the logical framework (logframe) and report on
performance indicators.
- Collect, verify, and analyze field data from multiple project sites.
- Prepare quarterly and annual progress reports showing achievements, lessons learned, and
recommendations.
- Facilitate learning and knowledge sharing through documentation of success stories and best
practices.
- Train field staff and community facilitators on effective data collection and reporting tools.
- Collaborate with Finance and Project teams to align financial expenditures with project outcomes.
This position demands both technical

Minimum
Qualifications
Candidates must hold at least a Bachelor’s
Degree in one of the following fields, plus 3 years of relevant
professional experience:
- Economics
- Development Studies
- Statistics
- Agriculture
Applicants with proven experience in
data management, project evaluation, and report writing will have a
strong advantage.
