Job Overview
The City of Kigali (COK) is seeking a qualified
Land Surveyor to join its Land Management and Notary Unit.
This exciting role offers a unique opportunity for passionate and skilled
graduates to work at the heart of Rwanda’s capital — contributing to effective
land management, sustainable urban development, and modernized land
administration systems.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Director of
Land Management and Notary Unit and will be responsible for ensuring
accurate land surveys, cadastral mapping, and spatial data management using GIS
technologies.
Key Responsibilities
As a Land Surveyor under the City of Kigali, you will
perform the following duties:
· Conduct
land surveys within the District using modern technologies
such as GIS.
· Demarcate
and approve land cadastral plans in line with national and
district standards.
· Consolidate
and maintain an updated geo-localizable list of all used and unused
land within the District.
· Analyze
and produce reports on land use, land management, and spatial
development trends.
· Prepare
land documents to be issued by the District, ensuring compliance with
the official procedures manual.
· Participate
in the preparation and implementation of land use plans to support
organized urban growth.
· Collaborate
with relevant stakeholders to conduct map-making, land subdivision, and
title elaboration.
· Perform
any other related duties as assigned by the Director of Land
Management and Notary Unit.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in one of the
following fields (no prior work experience required):
· Geography
· Topography
· Urban
Planning
· Land
Surveying and GIS
· Land
Administration and Management
Experience Required: 0 years — fresh graduates are
encouraged to apply.
