The Rwanda AI Scaling Hub
(the Hub) is one of the flagship programs under C4IR. Its mission is to harness
the power of AI to accelerate national development outcomes — from
education to healthcare and beyond.

Role
Overview: Program Manager, Education
As Program Manager, Education,
you’ll be responsible for designing, coordinating, and implementing
AI-driven solutions that improve learning outcomes, teaching practices,
and education management systems.
Your leadership will ensure that
these initiatives are aligned with Rwanda’s national education priorities
and developed in a way that is ethical, sustainable, and inclusive.
This position requires strong
collaboration with government ministries, education experts, and technical
partners to ensure that AI solutions are practical, scalable, and measurable.
Key
Responsibilities
As part of the AI Scaling Hub
team, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
🔹 Strategic Leadership
- Identify and lead the implementation of AI solutions
that can revolutionize Rwanda’s education system.
- Develop strategies for AI integration in schools,
teacher training programs, and education management systems.
Policy
and Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with the Ministry of Education, the Rwanda
Basic Education Board (REB), and other key stakeholders.
- Align all AI-driven education programs with national
education policies and ICT in education strategies.
Project
Implementation and Monitoring
- Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from
design to scaling.
- Work with implementation partners to identify
challenges, solve bottlenecks, and ensure timely delivery.
- Monitor adoption, assess impact, and generate
insights to inform future policies.
Data
and Ethical Oversight
- Ensure ethical data collection and analysis in
AI education projects.
- Promote AI safety, privacy, and inclusivity in
all solutions developed.
Reporting
and Communication
- Prepare progress reports, performance evaluations, and impact
assessments.
- Communicate project outcomes effectively to national
and international partners.
Required
Qualifications and Experience
To qualify for this prestigious
position, applicants should have:
Educational
Background
- Master’s degree in Education, ICT in Education,
Public Policy, or a closely related field.
Professional
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in program
management, education innovation, or digital learning initiatives.
- Strong background in AI in education, EdTech,
or data-driven education management systems.
Technical
and Management Skills
- Proven experience in leading large-scale education
projects from design to execution.
- Ability to coordinate cross-sector partnerships
involving government, private sector, and NGOs.
- Knowledge of AI ethics, privacy, and data
protection in education.
- Excellent leadership, facilitation, and communication
skills.
