Job
Summary
Equity Bank Rwanda is seeking a
highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager, International Money
Transfer (IMT) & Cross-Border Payment to help drive growth and
efficiency in its international payments segment.
The successful candidate will
oversee the IMT agency network, focusing on recruiting, training, and
managing agents, ensuring compliance, and enhancing brand visibility while
boosting business revenues and operational excellence.
Key
Responsibilities
As the Assistant Manager for IMTs
and Cross-Border Payments, your duties will include:
- Implementing the IMT Agency Distribution Channel
Strategy across the bank’s network.
- Identifying, recruiting, and activating targeted IMT agents for Equity Bank.
- Providing support and supervision to branch
agent supervisors to enhance performance.
- Achieving annual growth targets in remittance
and cross-border business.
- Ensuring brand compliance with approved
operational and marketing standards.
- Developing and conducting training programs for
IMT agents to ensure competence and compliance.
- Monitoring and profiling IMT agents to maintain adherence to policies and
regulatory requirements.
- Implementing fraud prevention and AML/CFT
measures in collaboration with IMT partners.
- Driving profitability and business growth in the
IMT and remittance segment.
- Leading efforts to strengthen customer service and agent
relationships.
- Supporting cost management and operational
efficiency within the department.
Qualification,
Experience, and Skills Required
To qualify for this role, applicants
must meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree
in Business Management, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience in money
transfer, payments, or agency banking.
- Proven experience in agent network management
and business development.
- Strong understanding of IMT operations,
compliance, and AML/CFT frameworks.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship
management skills.
