Reports To: Financial Management Specialist
As a MINEDUC Driver, you will report
directly to the Financial Management Specialist, working closely with
various administrative departments to ensure efficient logistics, timely
movement, and adherence to ministry transportation policies.
Job Purpose and Overview
The Driver plays a crucial
role in the smooth daily operation of MINEDUC. The position ensures the
safe and efficient transport of personnel, materials, and official documents
while maintaining the assigned vehicle in perfect condition.
As an official designated driver,
you will uphold the highest standards of safety, reliability, discipline,
and professionalism, ensuring that every trip reflects the ministry’s
commitment to excellence and public service.
This role is ideal for drivers who

Detailed
Job Responsibilities
The successful candidates will
perform a range of duties essential to the ministry’s operational
effectiveness, including but not limited to:
1️
Official Driving and Transport Duties
- Serve as the approved designated driver for
MINEDUC vehicles, transporting staff, visitors, and materials safely and
on time.
- Plan daily routes, ensure compliance with traffic laws,
and maintain professional conduct while on duty.
2️
Vehicle Maintenance and Care
- Conduct daily pre-departure inspections to
verify vehicle condition, tire pressure, oil level, brakes, and fuel
status.
- Maintain vehicles in excellent mechanical condition,
promptly reporting any malfunctions or repair needs.
- Oversee scheduled maintenance and service
appointments in coordination with the supervisor.
3️ Vehicle
Record Keeping
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date logbooks
detailing trips, mileage, fuel usage, and maintenance history.
- Ensure proper record keeping for fuel
consumption, repairs, and service intervals.
- Submit monthly, quarterly, and annual vehicle
reports to the Financial Management Specialist.

Safety, Compliance, and Cleanliness
- Ensure vehicle cleanliness inside and out,
projecting a professional image of the ministry.
- Keep all insurance documents, road licenses, and
registration papers valid and up-to-date.
- Adhere strictly to Rwandan road safety regulations
and government vehicle use policies.
5️ Supportive
Duties
- Assist in logistical support during events, meetings,
and field operations.
- Carry out other related tasks as assigned by the
immediate supervisor or the management team.
Minimum
Qualifications and Experience
To qualify for this position,
applicants must meet the following essential criteria:
- Possess a valid Driving License – Category B
- Have a minimum of 3 years of proven relevant driving
experience in an established organization, preferably in a public
institution, NGO, or private company
- Demonstrate excellent knowledge of Rwanda’s traffic
laws and road safety regulations
- Exhibit punctuality, reliability, and a positive
professional attitude

- Kinyarwanda (Mandatory)
- English
