Overview:

  • Reports to: Manager, Human Capital
  • Contract: Open-ended
  • Location: Kigali, Rwanda

Purpose of the Role

The Officer, Talent Acquisition Management will lead full-cycle recruitment processes while ensuring BRD builds a sustainable pipeline of talent. Beyond recruitment, the role focuses on employer branding, workforce planning, and aligning HR strategy with BRD’s growth.

This is not just a hiring role—it is a strategic talent acquisition function designed to attract, engage, and retain top professionals who will shape Rwanda’s economic future.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Collaborate with departments to forecast hiring needs.
  • Develop innovative recruitment strategies aligned with BRD’s vision.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies and labor regulations.

2. Recruitment Operations

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment (job design, sourcing, interviews, onboarding).
  • Oversee applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment platforms.
  • Draft competitive job offers aligned with compensation policies.

3. Employer Branding & Candidate Experience

  • Promote BRD as an employer of choice.
  • Represent the Bank at career fairs, universities, and professional forums.
  • Maintain relationships with candidates to ensure a smooth hiring journey.

4. Compensation & Market Intelligence

  • Participate in salary benchmarking and labor market surveys.
  • Support job grading and career mapping within the Bank.

5. HR Support

  • Provide timely responses to recruitment-related queries.
  • Contribute to HR projects, records management, and succession planning.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Success in this role will be measured by:

  • Speed and efficiency in filling vacancies
  • Quality of hires (performance, retention, cultural fit)
  • Candidate and hiring manager satisfaction scores
  • Offer acceptance rate
  • Compliance with HR policies and laws
  • ROI of recruitment and sourcing strategies

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
  • 3–5 years’ HR experience in a complex corporate environment.
  • Proven expertise in talent acquisition and employer branding.
  • Hands-on experience with ATS systems and recruitment platforms.
  • Knowledge of HR practices, compensation cycles, and Rwanda labor law.
  • Professional HR certifications (added advantage).
