About the Positions

Successful candidates will work under the supervision of the Director of Education at the district level and play a key role in ensuring quality school construction projects that align with MINEDUC’s norms and standards.

Key Job Responsibilities

As part of this role, selected candidates will be expected to:

  • Guide masons and manpower by providing technical expertise based on MINEDUC-approved standards and drawings.
  • Submit weekly progress reports and provide updates whenever required.
  • Monitor construction works to ensure they comply with government norms and quality standards.
  • Manage and account for materials, tools, and equipment, preparing detailed utilization reports at both District and Sector levels.
  • Keep daily site records of work performed and materials used.
  • Uphold ethical standards, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Report daily site updates via text message to the District School Construction Engineer and/or MINEDUC Field Officer.
  • Ensure project activities comply with Environmental and Social Standards (ESS) and safeguard requirements.
  • Support the grievance redress mechanism at site level.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must meet one of the following minimum qualifications:

  • Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering + 2 years of experience
  • Advanced Diploma in Construction + 2 years of experience
  • Advanced Diploma in Construction Management + 2 years of experience
  • A2 Certificate (RTQF Level 5 / S6) in Masonry + 3 years of experience
  • A2 Certificate in Public Works + 3 years of experience
  • A2 Certificate in Construction Technology + 3 years of experience

Exams to Be Conducted

  1. Psychometric Test – to assess knowledge, awareness, behavior, and attitude.
  2. Written Examination – to test technical and professional competence.
  3. Oral Interview – to evaluate communication skills, experience, and suitability for the role.
