Job Description – Driver

The Driver will play a key role in managing the hospital’s fleet operations while ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency in all driving activities.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain an updated database of trip requests, bookings, and vehicle usage.
• Record and monitor speedometer readings, and investigate any discrepancies.
• Conduct pre-trip checks (fuel, oil, water, lights, indicators, safety belts, mirrors, license, and insurance).
• Submit monthly reports on vehicle utilization and maintenance issues.
• Ensure valid driving license renewals and submit copies of Advanced Driver Training certificates when available.
• Use only hands-free mode for phone or radio communication while driving.
• Report any unruly behavior from patients or staff that could cause risks.
• Maintain records of callouts, travel times, and patient transport details.

Job Requirements

• Valid driving license (renewed on time).
• Experience in vehicle operation and fleet management.
• Knowledge of ambulance call center operations is an added advantage.
• Certificates in Advanced Driver Training are highly preferred.
• Ability to handle patients or personnel during transport in a safe and professional manner.

Education & Experience

• Education: Not specifically stated, but professional driving certification and advanced training is an asset.
• Experience: Prior experience in fleet management, hospital transport, or driving services is preferred.
