The Rwanda Development Board (RDB) is a government institution mandated to

promoting investments in strategic sectors such as tourism, ICT, financial
services, infrastructure, and manufacturing. RDB drives national development
through innovative initiatives, investment facilitation, and business support
services that create sustainable wealth and jobs for Rwandans.
As part of its mission, RDB is recruiting a dynamic and motivated Cashier
to join its Finance Department. This position offers a unique opportunity for a
motivated graduate to contribute to Rwanda’s development agenda by ensuring
efficient financial management, accountability, and compliance.
Job Summary
The Cashier will be
responsible for managing financial transactions, reconciling accounts,
preparing reports, and supporting financial planning processes. The role
requires accuracy, integrity, and knowledge of accounting standards and public
financial management procedures.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare
monthly reconciliation of financial statements against sales reports (tourism
revenues, mortgage registration revenues, investment registration fees, etc.).
· Process
payments after verifying the accuracy and completeness of all required
supporting documents.
· Prepare
and submit monthly tax declarations and ensure timely corresponding payments.
· Ensure
all payments and revenues are accurately recorded in the appropriate accounts.
· Maintain
up-to-date financial management and accounting records.
· Ensure
timely execution of payments, including staff salaries and taxes.
· Prepare
regular reconciliation of bank accounts.
· Perform
monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
· Review
and validate bank reconciliation reports for all bank accounts.
· Support
the preparation of financial management work plans and annual budgets.
· Coordinate
the external audit process in collaboration with the Auditor General’s Office.
· Provide
financial management support across Finance teams.
· Establish
and formalize financial management and control procedures.
· Perform
any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with specialization in Finance.
· Experience:
No prior work experience required (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).
Required Competencies and Technical Skills
· Strong
command of written and spoken English.
· Proficiency
in French and Kinyarwanda is an added advantage.
· Knowledge
of public policies, laws, and regulations related to financial management and
accounting.
· Familiarity
with financial systems and reporting standards (such as IFMIS).
· Excellent
organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
· High
integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
· Ability
to work independently and as part of a team.
Language Requirements
· Mandatory:
English
